Caledonia is a small village in the southern part of Kent County, Michigan located about 25-minute drive southeast of the city of Grand Rapids. The town is part of Caledonia Township which includes the many farmlands and undeveloped areas in the district. The town is centered around the similarly named Caledonia Lakeside Park which is a beautiful public park facing the waters of Emmons Lake. The park provides an ideal setting for group activities and events with picnic areas, open green fields, playgrounds, two ball fields, and the famous Paul Henry Thornapple Trail. Cherry Valley Avenue serves as the main road of the town where many of the local restaurants, shops, and other businesses are found. Schools are plentiful in the region making it an ideal place to raise children.
